Ever heard of 'Back to MAC'?
It's nothing much... only the best thing to happen to MAC lovers everywhere!
Lemme explain...
'Back to MAC' is MAC's empties policy, created to encourage MAC customers to be kind to the environment and recycle! By returning 6 MAC primary packaging containers (foundation bottles, lipstick bullets, pressed powder containers etc - not boxes) to a MAC counter or to MAC's website, you get a FREE lipstick of your choice! I'll just let that sink in for a minute...
Basically, this post is warning you not to throw out any of your used up MAC products!
I'd heard of the Back to MAC programme from a friend a few years ago but I'd never bothered to look into it... until yesterday, I've been seriously missing out. So I rounded up 6 of my empties (no, they don't have to be completely clean), handed them over the counter and made the quick swap for MAC's Patisserie Lipstick - here's photographic proof that it does work! haha.
This swap was a bit of a test run to see if it actually worked because I've never seen the programme promoted in Irish stores - that's why I'm letting ya'll know! Needless to say, I'll be going back for more next week - thank God my MAC empties have somehow never made it to the bin (I'm not a hoarder, swears.)! Just keep in mind that you can't swap your empties for a Viva Glam lipstick as 100% of their profits go to charity!
... and it's as simple as that!
Have you ever made use of the Back to MAC programme?
Or more importantly... did you know it existed?
