I feel like it's been forever since I popped up a review of a nail polish on this thang - so here goes!
If you've read my Holiday Haul you'll know that I made a few splurges in the airport recently... don't say you don't do it too. Haha. This is one of the little goodies I ended up with - Chanel's Le Vernis Nail Colour in the shade 'Sweet Lilac'.
If you don't think this is the most yummy shade for Summer, then you're a crazy (not really, you're perfectly fine). For some reason it reminds me of Gellato or FroYo and those are both foods, so I was sold straight away!
Food talk aside - Chanel claim that this is an exclusive formula that strengthens and moisturises the nail all while delivering a high-shine colour. Sounds almost too good to be true, but Chanel don't lie (just like Shakira's hips). As you apply the polish it doesn't feel as if it's drying out your nail - something that I do notice with other nail polishes especially after the first coat, so good for you Chanel!
Another thing that made me a happy bunny? The fact that it was streak free and completely opaque after just 2 coats - HALLELUJAH! I didn't even feel like I needed to apply another 'just incase'.
I topped it of with Deborah Lippmann's 'Hard Rock' top coat (which I finally got replaced thanks to the lovely gals at Harvey Nichols) so this shouldn't be budging any time soon!
Just a quick warning - if you're planning on bagging 'Sweet Lilac', Chanel is telling me that it's limited edition, so get it while its hot gal pals!
What's your go to Summer shade?
Have you ever tried out Chanel's nail polish formula?
